Title sequence feedback-

Title sequence feedback-

Today in class my group and I showed our title sequence to the class. When we presented our title sequence there were many things that needed to be done like the typography, the green screen effects and the colour effects. Many people liked our soundtrack and thought it went well with our title sequence. Some people liked the way we burnt the death certificate and the missing poster. Someone wrote that they got some sense of the narrative from the newspaper that featured in our title sequence. Many people in our class thought that things that needed to be developed are that the shots are too long because all of our shots are slo mo.

People in our class thought that the ending wasn't clear enough and there needed to be a build up or a climax. Also some of our class thought that many of our shots were out of focused but that was only because most of our shots were in slo mo.

Today we are going to improve on this feedback that we got by adding effects to our green screen, adding effects to our sequence and putting in transitions to make the shots flow better. Below are some feedback sheets that the class filled out:

What we did today - 03/03/15

Today I edited more of our footage that we have filmed for our title sequence and added in our chosen music for our title sequence. We got our music from a website called Audio Network and chose a piece of music called Forbidden Forest. This is the track we have added to our title sequence and tomorrow when we show our first cut of it to our media class we will get their feedback on if they thought the music suited it. If they think the music doesn't suit the genre of our title sequence we have other options we can chose which might be more suited for the genre of our title sequence.

What we are doing today - 03/03/15

Today we are going to be editing more of our footage because tomorrow we are going to show a first cut of it in our media lesson. From this we will get feedback as to what the class think we need to improve on. Then once we know what we need to improve on we will make these changes straight away and hopefully show it again to our class. My group and I have also filmed some more footage last night and today we are going to look at this footage and maybe put into it into our title sequence.

Typography for our film-

My group have looked at various types of fonts for our typography for our title sequence. These are some of our choices below:

In the next lesson we have with our media class, we will pass this sheet around with all the fonts on it so the people in our class can vote for which one they like the best. Tomorrow I will do another blog post to show the results.

What we will do tomorrow?

Tomorrow my group and I will finish editing our title sequence and adding the effects to it as well as adding the music and typography to it. Once that is finished, my group and I will have to show our title sequence in front of our media class on Wednesday. Once that is done we will get feedback on our title sequence and our class will say to us what they think we need to improve on and with this feedback we will make some adjustments to our title sequences.

What we did today - 02/03/15

Today I edited all of our footage using the software Final Cut Pro and put our footage in the order we wanted it to be shown in our title sequence. Below are some photos from editing.

What we have been doing for our title sequence-

Our group has finished all of our filming and all we have left to do is start to edit our footage. We would also like to go through our footage and see if there are any bits that need improving and if so we will film those parts of our title sequence again. Whilst doing this, my group and I will start looking at what typography we want to use for our film and pick a selection of fonts we like and then get the class to vote on which one they think is the most suitable for our film. I have started to look at typography and have thought that these ones suited our film quite well:
